Faculty Positions at the Department of Knowledge Service Engineering, KAIST

The faculty search committee in the Department of Knowledge Service Engineering (KSE) at KAIST invites applications for tenure-track positions.

The Department of KSE at KAIST aims to become an education and research center for all areas of knowledge service engineering and its applications to meet the demands of this era of knowledge-based society and human capital. An overview of current research and teaching programs at KSE is available at http://kse.kaist.ac.kr. The openings are mainly targeted at the Assistant and Associate Professor levels, but exceptionally qualified candidates are also highly encouraged to apply for a Full Professorship.

We invite applicants who are highly motivated to perform inter-disciplinary research on the related, but not limited, to the following fields: information retrieval and content analysis making use of multimedia, web, and social media; service science and engineering based on innovative use of knowledge; and organizational learning and knowledge management with practical implications. Besides these areas, candidates whose research emphasizes knowledge convergence with novel approaches to specific knowledge service engineering problems in business, medical, education, and scientific applications are strongly encouraged to apply. By the time of employment, candidates must have earned a PhD degree with an excellent research background and publication record.
