- Abstract
- Through an exploratory field study of ten high-performance computing centers, we identified a variety of generative tensions associated with a particular form of innovation we describe as “infrastructural innovation.” We develop a process model of dialectical modes of leadership and resource scarcity which result in organizational persistence and different forms of innovation.
